VARIABLE RESISTANCE
Heavier as you lift
As the bar rises, more links leave the floor and the load builds towards lockout, so you push hard through the whole rep.

Lifting chains add resistance that changes through each rep. Hang them from each side of an Olympic barbell and, as the bar goes down, more links pile onto the floor and the load gets lighter; as you drive the bar back up, the links lift off the floor and the load builds towards lockout.
That makes chains a popular tool for squats, bench presses and deadlifts when you want to train speed out of the bottom and strength at the top. They're also handy for drags, carries and weighted dips or push-ups.
This listing is for one 10kg chain, about 1.5m long. Most lifters use them in pairs, one on each end of the bar.
