About this product

The NZ Muscle Neo Weight Belt gives you a comfortable, padded belt for everyday lifting. It's a one-piece neoprene design with a 13cm-wide back panel, so it sits well around your midsection for squats, deadlifts, rows and overhead work.

A fitted metal buckle does the belt up securely, and the padding keeps it comfortable through longer sessions.

To find your size, measure around your midsection in a relaxed position, between your ribs and hips, with the tape in line with your belly button. Don't go by your pants size, as the belt sits higher on your body.

How do I choose a size?

Measure around your midsection in a relaxed position, between your ribs and hips, in line with your belly button. Don't use your pants size. As a guide: S suits approx. 26–30, M 30–34, L 34–38 and XL above 38.

Neoprene or leather belt?

Neoprene belts are lighter, more flexible and comfortable for general training and higher-rep work. Leather belts are stiffer and are often preferred for very heavy, low-rep powerlifting.

Where should the belt sit?

Wear it around your midsection, between your ribs and hips, and do it up firmly before your working sets so it feels secure without restricting your breathing.

What does the 13cm refer to?

It's the width of the belt's back panel. A wider back covers more of your lower back, which many lifters find comfortable for squats and deadlifts.

I was looking for a belt to support my abs as I have had an abdominal muscle injury and subsequent surgery. This belt narrows significantly in the front and did not offer the support I need.
