About this product

The NZ Muscle Fat Caliper lets you check your body fat at home, so you can track changes in your body composition alongside the scales and the mirror.

It measures a skinfold, and the included instructions and men's and women's charts show you how to turn that reading into a body fat estimate. Tracking charts help you record your results over time, so you can see how your training and nutrition are working.

For the most consistent results, measure at the same spot, at the same time of day, each time.

How do I use it?

Pinch a fold of skin at the site shown in the instructions, place the caliper jaws over the fold and read the measurement. Then use the included chart to find your body fat estimate.

Can I measure myself?

Yes. It's designed for self-measurement, so you can check your body fat at home without needing someone to help.

How often should I measure?

Every two to four weeks is plenty for most people. Measure at the same time of day and in the same spot each time to keep your results consistent.

How accurate is it?

Skinfold calipers give an estimate. They're most useful for tracking changes over time, so focus on the trend rather than any single reading.
