"THESE are the product I was hoping for when I first heard that Macro Mike was coming out with a protein bar. Their previous offering is genuinely awful - this is a HUGE improvement. These bars are much more like your standard "protein treat" bar. The coating has some nice crispy bits under the chocolate, and the bulk of the bar has a pleasant taste and texture - none of that silly, crumbly, chalky mess. The flavour is pretty on-point - I bought the Chocolate Peanut Caramel Something flavour, and it's pretty good! They make a decent dessert. They're a bit. . . . stodgy, so they're hard to break in half and can be a bit hard to chew, but otherwise, I'm impressed. The main problem is that all Macro Mike products are EXPENSIVE, especially so in NZ."
