About this product

The LiveUp Sports Steel Cable Jump Rope uses a thin, coated steel cable that moves through the air quickly, making it a good choice for speed skipping, double-unders and conditioning work. The slim plastic handles are easy to grip and quick to pack away.

The cable is up to 3m long and can be shortened to suit your height. Finished in orange and black.

How do I adjust the length?

Shorten the cable at the handles to suit your height. Stand on the middle of the rope with one foot: for most people the handles should reach around armpit height.

Is a cable rope good for beginners?

It's fast and responsive, which suits speed work and double-unders. Because it's quick and thin, a misjudged turn can sting, so some beginners prefer to start with a PVC rope and move to cable as their timing improves.

What surface should I skip on?

A rubber mat, wooden floor or other smooth surface. Rough concrete wears the cable coating faster.
